The draw for 2019–20 CAF Confederation Cup was held in Cairo today.
This years edition is the 17th edition of Africa’s secondary club football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), under the current CAF Confederation Cup title.
Ghana’s only club in the competition Kumasi Asante Kotoko will battle Ivorian side DC Pedro in the CAF confederation cup playoff after their exit from the CAF champion league by etoile du sahel from Tunisia on 3-2 aggregate.
The first leg will be played on 27th October at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi before returning to be play in Ivory coast a week later in Stade Auguste Denise San-Pedro on November 3.
San Pedro, progress to this competition after beating Santoba FC of Guinea 3-0 over two legs in the Confederation Cup first round to come this far.
The winners on aggregate join 15 other teams for the group stage series.
Kotoko will be hoping to make the ‘money zone’ for the second successive season, having reached the stage in last term’s championship
Kotoko is expected to start training ahead of the game.
