Tonto Dikeh and other celebrities demand Mohbad’s body from Police

Some celebrities in the Nollywood movies industry have mounted pressure on the Nigerian Police to release the body of Mohbad.

Over two months since his body was exhumed to assist investigations on circumstances leading to his death, the police has been tight-lipped on any further development.
Though his autopsy has been completed, the Service say they are awaiting toxicology results to make an official statement.

However, Nigerian celebrities including Tonto Dikeh and close associate of late musician are calling on the police to release the body for a befitting funeral while investigations continue.
Tonto in an Instagram post wrote: “Nigeria Police Force @the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, give us Mohbad’s corpse for a befitting burial. We are tired of your carelessness and showiness….if no one speaks I will. I have invested too much of my emotions, my time and my love to see this justice go through.
“This is not a case to be swept under the carpet. We want justice for Mohbad.”
The singer born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was confirmed dead on September 12.
Days after the unfortunate incident singer Naira Marley and Sam Larry were arrested over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad.
They were arraigned and remanded on October 6 and were released on Friday, after meeting their bail conditions.
