It is with regret that SIRKENN.com reports the demise of celebrated Kumawood actor Kwadwo Kwakye Obuobi.
Busumuru Sean Kingston, a senior blogger, announced the news of his passing on his Facebook page. He shared footage of the actor on his sickbed during a visit by Kojo Nkansah Lilwin and captioned it as “Kumawood Actor KK Is Dead”.
The actor was recently seen appealing for financial support as he undergoes a kidney transplant.
In response to his public appeal for financial assistance, Kwadwo Kwakye received a donation of GH₵20,000 from Actress Matilda Asare, who presented the gift on behalf of Hon. Francis Owusu, MP for the Juaben Constituency.
Notably, actress Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu also made a generous donation of GH¢50,000.
Speaking on the actor’s plight, Mercy Asiedu said, “I’m here to donate GH(50,000 to support him. We need about GH¢700,000 for his kidney transplant. I trust and believe that we will all come together and support him.
