Popular Kumawood actor Oboy Salinko has vowed not to give any financial support after Ghanaians questioned his source of wealth.
The actor, who has been in the news for his generous gestures, says he has been giving since his struggling days, but the recent attacks have forced him to backtrack.
“I started helping people when I wasn’t even rich. Now that people are questioning my wealth and calling for investigations, I’ve stopped. I won’t be generous again,” he said.

Salinko has a long history of philanthropy:
In 2016, he launched “Salinko Help The Needy” and paid the bills of stranded patients at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. He also donated to inmates of Kumasi Central Prison to mark his birthday.
In September 2025, he and his wife surprised a Methodist Reverend Minister with a brand new Nissan Sentra plus over GH¢3,000 cash bond for his support during their wedding.
In December 2025, he made headlines again after gifting veteran gospel musician Nana Yaw Asare a car and GH¢10,000 at Reign House Chapel. The church added an extra GH¢20,000 to support the musician’s upkeep.
