Renowned entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has named Shatta Wale, his fiercest competitor, one of Ghana’s top five artists.
Speaking on the uncut show hosted by musician D-Black on YouTube, the regular pundit for United Showbiz on UTV declared that he will select his top 5, no matter how much Ghanaians will say about it.
He began the list with highlife icon Charles Kwadwo Fosuaa, often known as Daddy Lumba. In addition to music, the well-known figure known as “DL” has been able to generate news all these years.
Shatta Wale comes in second on the list for his extended tenure in the profession and constant production of news about himself.
He then added Sarkcess Music Boss Sarkodie for enduring the last fifteen years. He claimed to be the first musician to win the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ best new artist and overall artist of the year titles.

Fourth on his list is multiple award-winning gospel songstress Diana Hamilton. He said she has done well for staying relevant in Ghana while working outside the country.
Lastly, songwriter and singer Nacee. Nacee is one of the most talented musicians in Ghana.
