SIRKENN.com can confirm that months after leaving Kessben Media – Kessben FM & TV Kumasi, veteran news anchor Wofa Kofi Appiah has officially joined the newly established Obaapa Radio and Obaapa TV.
The respected broadcaster has finalized everything with his new home and is set for an official unveiling in the coming days.
BIG ROLE, BIG RESPONSIBILITY
At Obaapa Radio and television, Wofa Kofi Appiah will serve as the News Editor and Head of the News Department. Wofa comes in with his years of experience, credibility, and calm authority on air and he is a great addition to Obaapa family because he is one of the most trusted voices in Kumasi journalism.

They have also recruited a strong sports team from rival stations, they includes:

- Christian Adusei – Tactical voice
- Andy Kacylas – Foreign sports presenter

LAUNCH DATE SET
Obaapa Radio and TV is scheduled to start their maiden broadcast on 31st August. The countdown has begun.
WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW:
While waiting for the big launch,
Obaapa TV is currently showing local movies to entertain viewers while Obaapa Radio is playing music 24 hours
Both stations are in their test transmission period and building momentum.
