-Ghanaian gospel music has been hit with sad news.
Veteran gospel musician Mrs. Bernice Offei has passed away at age 63.
The news was confirmed this afternoon by music producer Kwasi Ernest in a Facebook post stating that the gospel legend went to her maker this morning.
He wrote
“WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF OUR MOTHER MRS BERNICE OFFIE, SHE WENT TO HER MAKER THIS MORNING, A GOSPEL MUSIC LEGEND HAS FALLEN”
This comes after Citi News sources also confirmed she died on Saturday morning, September 12, 2026.
Bernice Offei, known for hit songs like Hold On and Life Is So Short, was reported missing on September 1 around Agbogba, Accra, sparking nationwide concern, before being found safe.
The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
