Ghanaian recording artist Kweku Flick has shared his perspective on recent comments by rapper Kwesi Arthur about his former record label.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Arthur stated that his former record label has been harassing, intimidating him and persisted in controlling his image and music long after their collaboration allegedly ceased.

He further mentioned that the label is seeking $150,000 from him for the use of his images in an ongoing independent project.

Reacting to those comments the “Money” hitmaker, revealed that he now understands why Kwesi did not do collaboration with him despite pressing on him for it.

For him he thought Kwesi did not like him not knowing it was coming from his label.

He wrote;

I now understand why all our collaborations couldn’t happen, I have been worried about this for a long time. Was asking myself “why why why doesn’t he like me”?? Not knowing it wasn’t his fault!!
I love you @KWESIARTHUR_ 🫂🫂 .If God says you’re the chosen one, who be man ?? Don’t ever lose your mind my brother 🤍 Stay strong, your mental well-being matters, and I’m always here if you need me.

If anything happens to me Glen Boateng and
all team members of Ground up chale are
responsible and should be held responsible. I am currently being asked to pay $150,000 for using images of MYSELF for this current
project. Ground up claims to own me, my
image, my music and everything attached to
it from 2016 to this day. Although I have not
worked or had any affiliation to the company since Son of Jacob. I have not made a dime from any of my music within the period I worked with them for years now and receive constant threats and manipulation from Glen who is living off of my money and hard work.

If for whatever reason this project that I am
trying to give to my fans independently gets
taken down, know Glen is responsible. He is
working constantly around the clock for me to never put out music again. I’ve tried to not say anything for a long time though this has affected my wellbeing and mental health greatly but for the safety of myself and my family I choose to publicly share the truth.
