Nana Aba Anamoah, a prominent media personality, has responded to Louisa Laryea’s critical remarks.

Just 24 hours ago, Louisa Laryea, the wife of renowned media practitioner Isreal Laryea, lost her composure on GhOne TV presenter Lily Mohammed due to her recent remarks.

The host of GhOne TV’s morning show has expressed disappointment over the presentation of a passport to popular YouTuber IShowspeed following his visit to Ghana, questioning the seriousness of the foreign affairs minister in authorizing such an action.

A multitude of reactions followed the comment, with Louisa’s response sparking considerable controversy.

On Facebook, she publicly criticized the presenter, stating they had undergone surgical procedures and used skin bleaching products in pursuit of their desired physical appearance.

See her post;

Journalism goes way beyond make-up, skin bleaching, BBL, hair, and fashion. Journalists ought to research, court the facts, interrogate data, and demonstrate sound reasoning. IShowSpeed_MattersArising,”

The award winning journalist reacting to Lousia has also schooled her to do proper criticism but not reducing female journalists to make up and fashion.

She her post;

Dear Louisa,

You’re right! Journalism demands research and reasoning but what it does not need is women like you policing other women with tired stereotypes and calling it depth.

If your defence of the profession starts by reducing female journalists to make up and fashion, you’ve already lost the intellectual ground you’re pretending to stand on.

Criticism is welcome but it should be informed, layered and fair.

Your post is none of those things. It’s loud and embarrassingly shallow.
