KOKA, an entertainment pundit, has voiced his concerns regarding the appointment of Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie as the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts designate.

According to KOKA on Accra-based Hitz FM, Abla Dzifa Gomashie a Member of Parliament for Ketu South, does not possess the necessary expertise to succeed in this role as appointed by President John Dramani Mahama.

While congratulatory messages are in order, KOKA expressed his reservations due to her perceived lack of qualifications.

Born Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu popularly called KOKA underscored the importance of relying on data-driven decisions in the creative arts sector.

He said;

“Is a good course to say congratulations but I have my reservation because I don’t think she fit to be there, she doesn’t have what it takes to be there. We sometimes forget that currently we don’t have any data to make creative art variable to invest”.

Abla Dzifa Gomashie is a veteran Ghanaian actress, producer, screenwriter, and politician.

Honourable has served two terms as a Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency. She previously served as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, where she championed the promotion of Ghanaian culture and tourism through theatre arts, a lifelong passion that has endeared her to Ghanaians at home and abroad.

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (First Class) and an MPhil In African Studies from the University of Ghana and an Honorary Doctor of Leadership from the Global Center for Transformational Leadership.
