Media personalities transitioning between stations may not always be newsworthy, but some moves can be startling for listeners, viewers, and station owners and managers.
Well, Wofa Kofi Appiah, a seasoned broadcaster, has officially stepped down from Kessben Media, which owns Kessben FM and Kessben TV.
According to information available to SIRKENN.com, Wofa is poised to join Obaapa FM and Obaapa TV, a newly established entity under Lawson Multimedia.
Prior to his resignation, Wofa was the host of the station’s flagship morning show, Maakye, on Kessben FM in Kumasi, and also served as a news anchor.
He transitioned to Kessben media from Kumasi-based Boss FM, where he spent nine years, about two years ago.
This news has become shocking to the media owners as they were not anticipating it at this time.
Additionally, he worked with Kumasi-based Fox FM and Metro FM, now Ezra FM.
