VIDEO: Edem reflects on the impact of his 2023 Moto accident on his career
Edem, a renowned Ghanaian musician, has recounted how a tragic accident in 2023 impacted his music career.
The rapper stated that the accident, which occurred on December 10, 2023, significantly affected his career.
In a conversation with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz 103.9mhz, the “Toto” hitmaker explained that the accident resulted in substantial financial and professional losses.
He noted promoters cancelled several already booked shows because they were uncertain about his ability to perform.
He said;
“After the accident on 10th December 2023, every event promoter cancelled our shows within that period“
Like, the team will get a call, ‘Oh, bro, we won’t push the date.’ You know, because they didn’t know what was happening,” Edem disclosed.

Edem disclosed that the accident had far-reaching consequences on his career, including a protracted legal battle that kept him out of the public eye.
He and his team were embroiled in court proceedings from December 2023 to February 2025.
“We were in court the whole of 2024. In February 2025, the high office cleared us with the evidence we had. If anybody says anything disrespectful about the event, we will see you in court.”
We were indeed in court regarding the accident, and it was in February that the court provided guidance and cleared us of the case, which lasted about a year and a half,” he elaborated.
Edem took the opportunity to commend his team for their steadfast support and effective management of the situation, ensuring he navigated the challenging period while maintaining his professional standing.
