Nana Akwasi Agyiri has officially severed ties with Cruz FM
The passage of life is punctuated by individual endeavors and ultimate departures, creating opportunities for others to forge ahead.
Following a 12-year stint, Nana Akwasi Agyiri, a preeminent sports broadcaster fondly referred to as the sports Prophet, has officially relinquished his duties at Cruz FM 96.9mhz, Akomadan.
Agyiri admitted that the decision was a formidable one, considering his extensive history with the brand. Yet, he found inspiration in the biblical passage from Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1, which states, “There is time for everything.”

IT IS OFFICIAL
GOODBYE TO CRUZ FM
My twelve (12) years of marriage with CRUZ 96.9 FM has come to an end.
Leaving the station as the longest-serving Staff is an indication of how taking this decision was very tough and tenacious due to loyalty. But as the journey of Life begins from birth to death, and the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 1 says “There is time for everything”, this is the right time for me to say goodbye to ÇRUZ FM.
I have to thank the almighty Yahweh for His protection and Mercies all these while on this highway greatly on foot.
I have to take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the CEO, Dr Samuel Appiah Kubi for his wisdom and vision in setting up the station that has aired my voice to the world in the last twelve years.
Ginormous application goes to the managing director, Mr Kwabena Kokroko for having trust and confidence in me when there was doubt by graduating me from the production room to the rank of HOD
A prodigious regards to the two general Managers I worked with, Mr. Adu Mensah Gabriel and Mr. Solomon Osei Tutu; I enjoyed working with you.
A gargantuan admiration for the entire staff, especially the Sports department I worked with, starting from Boakye Agyemang Benard, Kwaku Afriyie Wisdom, Agyei Peprah Promise, Ofosu Boahen Seth, Sir Bozen, whom we have a script to write or movie to act one day in our journalism career, Kwaku Andy, Achie the Winter Man, Losky and others NOT excluding those I also nurtured and ordained into the media industry.
I have to appreciate the effort of my family, especially my wife, who stood beside me when things were difficult. At a time when salaries were seized for more than a year, she kept her promise of ” For better for worse”.
Not forgetting the unflinching and audacious esteem of my Listeners and supporters for given me the motivation, morals, sacrifices and prayers in my twelve years journey. GOD richly bless you ALL.
