Following our report about his exit from Nhyira FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group Limited, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah has officially confirmed his departure.
In a lengthy post on his official Facebook page, he announced his exit from the family after five solid years with the media brand.
According to him, he will continue to mentor his successors, and also help them maintain momentum and stand up against oppression.
He wrote;
After 5 years of hard work, controversies, misunderstandings, love, and hate, I’m finally closing this chapter at Multimedia (NHYIRA FM). I’m leaving with no qualms or hard feelings, by mutual agreement with management, who wished I would stay. However, my job there is done.
Until the end of the year, I will continue mentoring my successors, helping them maintain momentum and stand up against oppression. I have a calling – it’s not just a job. Money isn’t my primary motivator, but it’s rewarding when I’ve done a good job.
I have made mistakes, hurt people, and been hurt many times too, but I don’t hold grudges or let it disturb my peace. I don’t envy others’ success; I focus on becoming what I want to be.
I am inspired by Kenny Rogers’ song “Coward of the County,” where he says, “Sometimes you don’t have to fight to be a man.” But I also know that sometimes, you have to stand up for yourself and fight as a man.
To young journalists, don’t give up. Society may not appreciate those who refuse to compromise, but God rewards good deeds. Don’t take bribes; genuine people will appreciate your integrity.
Add value, prepare for opportunities, and keep your heart clean. You’ll succeed. I’m grateful to Multimedia management for their support. To you, I say I’m here with you, and we’ll disagree to agree.
My work toward a better Ghana isn’t over. This is my last show as a host, and I will be on the other side until I say my final thank you on Christmas. Good things come to good people. You can’t be hungry when you do good. Someday, posterity will judge us. MAP)N
