Popular media personality Tima Kumkum has finally addressed rumors surrounding her second marriage.
Speaking in a viral video, the Adom TV presenter confirmed that she is separated from her husband, Dominic Duodu, and that divorce proceedings are currently underway in court.
In an exclusive interview with Nikki Samonas on Joy Prime’s Changes show, the former Kumawood actress revealed that the couple have not lived together since April 1, 2025. She described herself as “partially single” because, while they are separated, they are not legally divorced yet.
She stated:
“I said I wasn’t going to talk about it. People kept pushing me to say something. I’m separated, not yet divorced, but it will happen soon. I didn’t want to discuss it, but let’s be honest — we haven’t lived together since April 1, 2025. So I’m partially single because the divorce isn’t final yet. It’s already in court, so I don’t really want to go into details.”
Rumors and Clarifications
Speculation about her marriage began months ago after viewers noticed she had stopped wearing her wedding ring during live TV appearances. At the time, Tima denied the rumors on social media and explained why she wasn’t wearing the ring.
During the interview, Nikki also asked about her husband’s whereabouts after Tima mentioned that she has been solely responsible for taking care of their children without support from any man.
Tima added that people in her community are already aware of the situation, but she does not intend to reveal the reason for the breakup, even after the divorce is finalized.
On Marriage and Co-Parenting
This was Tima’s second marriage. The couple lived together for one year and nine months before separating — something she admitted she never expected to happen again.
Despite the split, she had nothing but praise for Dominic Duodu as a father.
“He’s a very responsible man. I’ll give him his flowers for that. He takes care of his child and pays his school fees. That’s fine, and I’m okay with that. So custody is not an issue,” she said.
For now, Tima says marriage is the last thing on her mind.
“I have no plans to marry again anytime soon.”
