Sporty FM, a newly established radio station, is set to kick-start its inaugural broadcast tomorrow, January 20th.

As the first-ever 24-hour sports station in Ghana, Sporty FM has developed a comprehensive program lineup to mark the beginning of its official show tomorrow.
Gary Al-Smith, Regional Content head for the Sporty Group in Ghana, revealed the station’s initial programs during a Twitter space conversation monitored by SIRKENN.com.
The former Joy FM sports broadcaster disclosed that the station will launch with three live programs and several pre-recorded ones.

Sporty News will be the first program to air, broadcasting from 6:00 am to 6:15 am with Abigail Sena Sosu and Angela Mensah, with plans to extend its duration from 15 minutes to 30 minutes as time goes on.
Following the morning sports news, the “Sporty Breakfast Show” continues until 9:45am with Nathan Quao, formerly of Citi FM, and a recorded show will air between 9:45am and 12pm.
At 12:00pm to 12:15pm, “Sporty news” will be broadcast, and “Sporty Plug” will continue until 1:00pm with Nana Qwame Larbi, formerly of Hitz FM, focusing on sporting bet tips and odds.
The final program, European Night on Sporty, will air from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday through to Thursday, featuring discussions on European football, hosted by Kosi FIaka and his crew.
Renowned broadcast journalist Gary noted that additional programs will be introduced in due course and promised that Sporty FM in Kumasi and Takoradi will receive the feed from Sporty Accra by month’s end.
Get ready for action with Sporty, tune in to 106.1mhz in Accra and its environment, and also stream online via social media and TuneIn Radio.
Sporty FM will broadcast 24-hour sports content on Sporty 106.1mhz in Accra, Sporty 91.3mhz in Kumasi, and Sporty 102.5mhz in Takoradi.
Their sports crew include Fiifi Banson. Fiifi Banson, Yaw Ofosu Larbi, Abigail Sena Sosu, Enoch Manu Quansah, aka Sergio Manucho Goncàlvez, and Immortal Kwame Agyakwah-Acheampong, all from Asempa FM; Raymond Nyamador; Nathan Quao from Citi FM; Asare Boadu, formally of Sompa FM/TV; Kelvin Owusu Ansah from TV3; Angela Mensah, Nana Ekua Amankwaa and Kosi FIaka.
