VIDEO: Lilwin expresses disappointment over the media failure to cover his movie after its premiere in Sunyani

Lilwin, a prominent Kumawood actor and film producer, has articulated his concern regarding his new movie, Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero, claiming that no media house is promoting it after its second premiere in Sunyani on Saturday, 16 August 2025, at the Eusbett Hotel Cinema.
In a video circulated on social media, the esteemed Kumawood star was seen standing beside his 2024 RAM 1500, which was branded with stickers of his latest film, and sent a touching message to Ghanaians.
The comic actor expressed concern over the absence of support from Ghanaian media houses for his latest movie, which premiered in Sunyani, the second region in the country, without generating any media buzz.

He reported that between August 22 and 24, 2025, he spent his Friday, Saturday, and Sunday examining the channels of all the television stations nationwide that focus on entertainment, only to discover that none of them mentioned his latest film on air.
The ‘Mama Boss Papa‘ composer then showcased his movie’s numerous International nominations and felt disheartened that no media house was publicizing the movie’s success.
“The movie has been nominated as the Best Movie in Africa at the Switzerland Festival Awards, yet no television station in the country talked about it,”
