Veteran Ghanaian gospel icon Esther Smith has advised colleagues musicians not to focus on money.

According to her gospel, musicians should not venture into the industry with the aim of making money. 

Esther stated that if you think there is money in the gospel industry and you are going into it, then you won’t succeed.

Speaking in an interview with B Ice on Kumasi-based Agyenkwa FM, the ‘Onyame Ye Nyame’ composer said gospel musicians should study the Bible well—and should not be envious of their colleagues.

Music is spirit, and if it is not given to you by God, you can learn but cannot be compared with those who are naturally gifted.
