Ghanaian media personality Xandy Kamel, has narrated how she sponsored her wedding with TV host King Kaninja.

According to the former Angel TV presenter she met Kaninja when she got employed at Angel TV.
Speaking on the Delay show, she disclosed that she and Kaninja at Angel TV quickly had a strong romantic relationship that grew over the course of two months. So, four or six months into their relationship, they started talking about getting married.

“When I started working there, he was already a staff there but funny enough, I never even looked his way but it happened…it took two months.“
The actress went on to say that she sponsored more than half of the wedding expenses, including purchasing the rings, her husband’s suit, and other bills even after the wedding.
She explained, “I bought both rings and made one of my uncles buy the wedding and then send it to Ghana for him. So it feels like I married him. That is why I am the only one who can end it… I married him because I did everything; he only came in as a man that I respected…but I made it look like he did it.”
Their marriage hit the rocks some years back after the duo tied the knot in a colourful ceremony on May 14, 2020.
A few years after the couple’s colorful May 14, 2020 wedding, their marriage ended in the middle of 2021 as Xandy accused the sports presenter of infidelity and emotional abuse.
She also disclosed in one of her interviews that she never experienced love or sexual satisfaction in her short marriage and was rather threated to body shaming and cheating by her ex-husband.
