Ghanaian rapper and activist Okyeame Kwame has declared his support for a female president for Ghana.
The Rap Doctor, known for his strong feminist stance, says he would gladly vote for a woman to lead the country if she is equally qualified as her male opponent.
Speaking in an interview with Nikki Samonas on Joy Prime’s Changes show, Okyeame Kwame explained that women are generally more empathetic and less likely to misuse public funds compared to men.

“If that woman and the man are both equally qualified and equally responsible, I’ll vote for the woman because women usually, not all the time, have a bit more empathy and they’re less likely to steal from the state than men,” he stated.
He however admitted that this cannot be generalized, as there have been cases of some female leaders also engaging in corruption.
Okyeame Kwame believes women are naturally caring and possess a motherly instinct that makes them capable of managing the affairs of a nation effectively.
“Women come with a lot of love, empathy, sympathy, nurture; they have that motherly thing where they care more about people. Men are inclined to care more about things as Jordan Peterson said. So, I think a women president will be dope,” he emphasized.
