Mark Okraku-Mantey, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has lost his primaries, which means that his hopes of becoming an MP in 2025 has been shut down.

The veteran music producer contested as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate in the Eastern Region’s Ayensuano seat and pulled 136 votes, compared to Ida Adwoa Asiedus 410 votes as the winner. Ernest Addo and Kingsley Boateng Adomah, the other contenders, received four and three votes, respectively.
