A significant shift is underway in the media industry, and notable media personality Bright Kankam Boadu is currently being impacted.
SIRKENN.com has learned that Ghanaian sports broadcaster Bright Kankam Boadu, widely recognized as Chairman BKB, will be joining Obaapa FM, which is part of the Lawson Media.
A credible source has confirmed that the host of Pure FM’s sports segment will exit the brand after a six-year stint.
Chairman will undertake this endeavour with his skilled team, including Maxwell Nana Essein, Christian Adusei, renowned pundits, alongside Andy Kacylas, an international sports presenter, and his production team.
Additionally, he will be bringing on board his ex-colleague at Nhyira FM, Bismark Owusu Bempah, aka Ayala and other one analyst.
Ayala’s inclusion will greatly benefit the team, leveraging his vast experience and in-depth knowledge of the sporting industry.
It has been six years since BKB, Andy, Christian, and his producers transitioned from Nhyira FM to Pure.
Obaapa FM falls under Lawson Multimedia Network, which also owns Lawson FM and TV in Kumasi.
Obaapa FM broadcasts on a frequency of 100.9MHz.
The station is poised to initiate full operations, utilizing text transmission for its scheduled programs starting in June.
From June, audiences can enjoy Chairman BKB on 100.9MHz with the richest individual globally and renowned Ship Dealer Oliver Khan.
