In an exclusive interview with MzGee on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, Bullet acknowledged responsibility and gave a detailed account of what transpired.
He claimed that Wendy Shay’s RuffTown contract had ended approximately a year and a half ago but they were in talks to extend it.
He continued by saying that while several labels had expressed interest in signing her, one American record label in particular had approached her but he believed after reviewing their contract that it wasn’t in her best interests; otherwise, I would have given her away and get his share of the money.
He went on to say that he takes the blame because he had a disagreement with Wendy Shay and asked her to leave if he want to.
He said….
“Most of the time, when artists and their labels fall out, we blame the artist. However, in our case, I blame myself. I got angry at a point and told her if she wanted to go, she could go. I have seen that she has done a diss song for me as a result. But I am proud of her accomplishments since we fell out,” he said.
The “Emergency” hitmaker recently made waves online by disparaging her previous label manager and which made fans wonder what might be going on between the two.
Wendy has spent the last seven (7) years working for the RuffTown Record label.
