John Dumelo is contesting for the parliamentary seat in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the second time.

Prince, speaking to Serwaa Amihere on an Accra-based GHOne TV on Friday, 23 August 2024, said despite being a loyal member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), he will campaign for his colleague John.
Explaining his reasons, he said his party’s candidate, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, was ungrateful the last time he campaigned for her.
