Qwame Larbi is the latest to this trend, as he brings his nearly decade-long tenure with Multimedia Group Limited owners of Hitz FM to a close.
Having commenced his journey with the organization in 2016, immediately after completing his academic pursuits, Larbi has chosen to embark on a new career path as a broadcast journalist.
In a message shared on social media, Larbi extended his gratitude to his former superiors, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey and Mr. Prince Tsegah, as well as colleagues including MrHaglah, Doreen Avio, Andy Dosty, and Dj Black. The complete text of his post is provided below.

In 2016 I had the privilege of working with the biggest entertainment radio station in Ghana Hitz fm. I was fresh out of school and was clueless about what was ahead of me. Thankfully I was welcomed by my amazing senior colleagues who helped me carve a career path for myself. I’ve learnt a lot working with Multimedia Group Limited as a presenter, producer as well as a writer and I am very grateful. However I have taken a bold decision to take a different path in my career. I hereby wish to announce to my fellow friends, family and cherished audience who supported me during the last 8 years at MGL that I have resigned from MGL (Hitz FM). It’s been a great honor working with the team and I boldly say that I will not be here if not for them. Thank you to MrHaglah OnHitzfm who took me under his wings. Not forgetting Doreen Avio, ANDY DOSTY and my former bosses Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey and Mr. Prince Tsegah and Dj Black for the opportunities. I am very grateful. My new home will be announced shortly. God bless us all.
