Kofi Nti, a renowned Highlife singer, has ignited controversy with his candid remarks during an interview on BrytTV’s Bryt Xtra show on Thursday, August 21.
The artist behind the hit song “Rakia” unapologetically justified his decision to cheat on his ex-wife, emphasizing that he does not regret impregnating another woman during their marriage.
According to Nti, a man’s choice to engage in multiple relationships should not be condemned, as this perspective is deeply rooted in Akan tradition and beliefs.

“I am a man and a traditional person. As an Akan, it is my belief that you can choose how many women you want to marry or be with, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s even best to marry three or more women and not cheat. So having an affair as a man accounts to my belief system — it is normal and acceptable,” Kofi Nti boldly stated.
He further dismissed criticisms of his lifestyle, insisting that every spouse has a past.
“Everyone has an ex, whether married or not. You were once someone’s ex and so was my wife. She wasn’t even a virgin when I met her,” he added.
