Renowned Ghanaian Gospel musician Broda Sammy has recounted an incident where he was left stranded after a performance.

According to the gospel musician, he was invited to perform at a Pastor’s event at Mankessim community center in Ghana’s central region.
During his performance, the host Pastor requested that he solicit funds for the church. He began with larger amounts, decreasing to 1 Ghana cedi, but was surprised to find the Pastor and his wife absent after the show.
He revealed that he begged the security guard at the venue at the venue to left him sleep on the foam mattress till morning he returned to Kumasi.
He disclosed that he requested the security guard at the venue to permit him to sleep on the foam mattress until morning, after which he returned to Kumasi.
He then informed Andy Dosty that this experience prompted him to begin charging for booked shows.
