Louisa Adinkra, a notable Ghanaian filmmaker, recounts the events leading to her marital collapse.

The stunning actress, who spent nine years married to a footballer and has a child with him, disclosed that someone close to her was responsible for the demise of her marriage.

According to her, the marital breakdown was partly due to a woman connected to her ex-husband’s family.

Speaking publicly about the incident for the first time, she acknowledged having been warned on several occasions but chose not to heed these warnings, resulting in her allowing the said woman into her home.

In conversation with actress Emelia Brobbey, she revealed that she has become more selective about the individuals she lets into her life, acknowledging that trust can occasionally lead to hurt.

“You need to be scáred and cautious about people. The scáry part is, the ones you bring closer are the ones who would hurt you the most,” she added.

She further emphasized that prior to the family’s comments, people questioned whether her husband could tolerate her prominence in films. Furthermore, she noted that her ex-husband cautioned her about being cautious in her friendships, but she disregarded his advice due to the absence of anyone fitting that description in her circle at the time.

“I had always known my marriage would collapse… that should have been a signal to me, but I didn’t pay attention, and I was in love,” she said.

The actress, now selling ice kenkey, has revealed that she has been single for a considerable amount of time.

“I’m no longer married. I’ve been single for about seven years now,” she said.
