Many were disappointed last night on popular entertainment show Onua TV showtime hosted by award-winning Nana Ama Mcbrown.

Before the show, they shared their flyers as usual, and gospel songstress Empress Gifty was to appear on the show.
In the course of the show, Mcbrown sadly announced that, according to her producer, Gifty cannot make it with reasons best known to her.
Mcbrown then said Gifty knows her number, so why didn’t she call her, then letting her team member call her producer.

Barely 24 hours after the show, Edem Mensah-Tsotorme, Empress Gifty’s publicist, has explained her absence on the show.
According to him, Gifty, right after performing at bbbb Dr. Osei Kwame Despite‘s in-law funeral, got a saddened call that her daughter has taken ill in school at Akosombo in the Eastern region.
He added that Gifty immediately rushed to her car and left to see her daughter. They even had to transfer the child to Tema, and Empress went home this morning to change, and in the process she even lost her phone.
The entertainment pundit disclosed that he even called Gifty’s husband and later called the producer of the show around 5:58pm to alert them.
