The 2025 media transfer in the Ashanti Region commenced with the sports department, amidst rumors of Wontumi Radio/TV‘s sports team transitioning to a new station.

On Friday, January 10th, King Eben, the head of sports at the aforementioned station, confirmed his new affiliation with Lawson FM/TV, following his departure from Wontumi Radio/TV.
Today, Kwame Dela De Fishbone, a sports pundit at Wontumi Radio/TV, has also announced his exit and revealed his new station.

In a post on his official Facebook page, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Wontumi Communication, specifically acknowledging Chairman Wontumi and CEO Sister Afia.
He wrote;
I would like to express how much of a privilege it has been to work with Wontumi Radio/TV. I will forever be grateful to Chairman Wontumi, the CEO (Sister Afia) and the entire staff of the station.
