Celebrated entertainment journalist Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has vehemently condemned media practitioner Nana Frimpong Ziega for his derogatory comments about King Promise.
During last week’s edition of United Showbiz on UTV, Ziega, a presenter at Kessben FM and television, made the assertion that King Promise’s win as Artiste of the Year at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA26) establishes an unfavorable precedent.
Reacting to Ziega’s comments, Asamoah-Baidoo, who was absent from the show last week, described Ziega’s statement as disrespectful and ridiculous.

Asamoah-Baidoo pointed out that King Promise’s victory was based solely on his merit, not on any other factor.
Additionally, Asamoah-Baidoo highlighted that the academy, board, and general populace acknowledged the hard work of all nominees in the category, but ultimately voted for King Promise as the deserving winner.
Asamoah-Baidoo concluded by urging Ziega to extend an apology to both the organizers and King Promise.
