Ghanaian recording artist Kofi Jamar has shared his distressing experiences with his former record label.

Through a series of posts on social media on August 1, 2025, the ‘Ekorso‘ composer disclosed that GADone Records had excluded him from activities since last year, despite their contract’s scheduled end in 2025.

Born Derrick Osei Kuffour Prempeh, Kofi Jamar announced the conclusion of his contractual agreement with the label.

“l’m no longer with @GADoneRecords. For those who’ve been asking, our contract ends legally this year, and they stopped reaching out since last year. It’s not fair when you ignore an artiste approaching the end of a contract. At least I need closure.I reached out several times but to no avail” he said.

Kofi Jamar asserted in his statement that he had satisfied all demands outlined in his contract, clarifying that his purpose for partnering with the label was professional growth, not self-destruction.

He advocated for a peaceful agreement between both sides.

“I never signed my life away. I fulfilled and did everything that was required of me. I would appreciate it if we could sit down and talk about the remainder of the contract and part ways peacefully. But not hearing anything from the label’s end over a year is cruel”‘ he added.
