Stonebwoy, who submitted his latest album, “5th Dimension,” for consideration, missed out.
Notable musicians from Nigeria, such as Burna Boy, Asake, Arya Starr, Olamide, and Davido, as well as South African breakout star Tyla, were nominated.
Right after the list went viral, a section of social media users went on their various platforms to mock the Bhim nation president, while others worried about what made him lose the opportunity.
TV3 journalist Berla, in defense, took to her X page, formally Twitter, to call on those mocking Stonebwoy to stop.
In her tweet, she acknowledged Stonebwoy’s hard work and encouraged others to appreciate his ongoing strides.
Berla then called on Ghanaians to support their own, as seen in Nigeria.
