Kojo Akoto Boateng, an accomplished Ghanaian on-air practitioner, has officially joined Joy FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group Limited.
After spending over a decade at Accra-based Citi FM and Citi TV he made the move.
The former co-host of the Citi Breakfast Show confirmed his move to the Super Morning Show on Facebook with a post and a picture of himself in the studio of Joy FM.
He wrote;
I love John Cena. I have learned quite a lot from him.
Like him, I’m a company guy.
I believe in the brands I associate with and I believe that success comes from believing in the brands we are associated with.
Yes, we are easily replaced. But with hardwork we can make an impact before the replacement.
Life demands a lot from us and kindness is hard to find. I have found it on the Faanofa street. So let us try to bend bullets and defy gravity. Counting on you to make this work. Let’s move together on Joy…the Super Morning Show!!!
I know that in this industry, the spotlight shines quick and then it shifts.
So let’s shift it to Joy 99.7 FM. Let’s share some JOY in the city.
And let Heaven’s plan be executed.

Kojo commenced his radio career on the KNUST campus at Focus FM, where he worked as a drive-time host and presented various entertainment-related shows.
In line with the practice of all presenters at the station at the time, he worked under the pseudonym DJ X Ray and built a sizable following.
He then transitioned to Kapital Radio, part of the Imperial Broadcasting Company, where he continued as a drive-time host and later presented the station’s flagship morning program, Daybreak Kapital.
The seasoned broadcaster, subsequently relocated to Ultimate FM in Kumasi before moving to Citi FM in Accra.
