A Message to My Mentors, Friends, and Family Around the World

As I take this moment to reflect on the incredible journey that has brought me to this point, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. From my humble beginnings in Multimedia Group Limited, where I spent a remarkable 10 years growing and learning, to my recent transition to Onua FM as the lead producer of the morning show, and now to my new role as a morning show host on New 88.3 FM, every step of this journey has been both a blessing and a lesson. It’s truly been a journey filled with incredible people, unforgettable moments, and immeasurable growth.

To my mentors, who have guided me every step of the way—your wisdom, patience, and unwavering support have shaped who I am today. I cannot thank you enough for the trust you placed in me and for pushing me to become the best version of myself. You showed me that growth is not just about skill or knowledge, but also about the character you build along the way. It is because of you that I’ve been able to rise, not just as a professional, but as a person.

To the incredible family I built at Multimedia Group Limited, the memories we created together will stay with me forever. What we had wasn’t just work—it was a bond, a unity that transcended the roles we played. From the long nights in the studio to the camaraderie during breaks, from the challenges we faced together to the victories we celebrated, you all have become part of who I am. I have learned more from you than I could have ever imagined, and I will forever carry those lessons with me.

Then came my time at Onua FM, a subsidiary of Media General, where I was honored to serve as the lead producer of the morning show for nine months. Those months were filled with immense joy. The team I worked with, the guests who brought their wisdom, and the listeners who shared their stories with me—they became my extended family. I have never felt more supported, more at home, than during that period. Every day was an opportunity to learn something new, to push boundaries, and to challenge myself. It was in those moments that I truly understood the power of collaboration, of working together toward a common goal.

And now, as I step into my new role as a morning show host at New 88.3 FM, a subsidiary of IMPACT HUB, I do so with both excitement and humility. The road has been long and filled with hard work, but it has also been full of love, support, and inspiration. I am incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people who believe in me, and I know that this new chapter will bring new challenges, but also new opportunities to grow and give back to the community.

To my friends, to those who have followed my journey and supported me from near and far, your encouragement has been the foundation on which I’ve built everything. Your messages, your phone calls, your constant reminders that I am not alone in this—these are the things that kept me going during the toughest days. Each of you has played a part in this journey, whether you know it or not, and I can never thank you enough.

As I begin this new chapter, I ask for your continued prayers and support. My journey in the media industry has been one of transformation—professionally and personally—and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the public through this new platform. I know that challenges will arise, but with each step forward, I have learned that there is always a lesson in every struggle, and that victory is often born out of perseverance and faith.

I am excited for what the future holds. I will continue to work hard, continue to grow, and continue to be inspired by the incredible people I meet along the way. To my mentors, my friends, and my family—thank you. Your belief in me is the fuel that keeps me going. Let’s continue to learn, grow, and uplift each other.

Here’s to new beginnings, to new challenges, and to the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

With gratitude and love,
Dakyehene Nana Yaw Asante
